Terms of Sale

Last updated: 24 June 2026

Draft. These terms are a working draft to be finalized with the chosen payment provider and reviewed before launch.

1. What you're buying

A purchase gives you a signed, prebuilt copy of the SaveVault application plus updates. The software itself is licensed under the GNU GPL-3.0; nothing in these terms restricts the rights that license grants you.

2. Seller of record

Purchases made through Steam are sold and fulfilled by Valve under Steam's terms. Direct purchases are sold through our Merchant of Record, who processes payment, handles applicable taxes, and issues your receipt.

3. DRM-free

Direct downloads are DRM-free: no license keys, no activation, no account required. You may install your purchased build on the devices you own.

4. Refunds

Steam purchases are covered by Steam's refund policy. Direct purchases are covered by our Merchant of Record's refund policy, with the applicable window and process shown at checkout. If something isn't working, please contact us — we'd rather fix it.

5. No warranty & liability

SaveVault is provided “as is,” without warranty, and to the maximum extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the amount you paid. SaveVault helps protect your saves, but you remain responsible for maintaining copies of important data.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Questions? Get in touch.
